We meet Nadia over a coffee in Dubai to fine out more about her work and how she manages her time between Dubai and Ukraine.

What is your background?

A graduate of the International School of Management, Hamburg/ Germany focussing on International Management for her B.Sc. Psychology & Management, Nadia also went to the European Business School in Dublin, Ireland and completed an M.A. in Social Management from the "Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany. She also went to Chernihiv National Pedagogical University.

Tell us about your current role as advisor to Ms. Yulia Tymoshenko?

I worked before in the parliament in Europe and in Ukraine as well as for global charity organisations so I bring my expertise of what I learnt before to the table and use that to propose better ideas for the nation.

What type of trends and updates do you highlight to Ms. Yulia?

I take the best initiatives that leaders in this part of the world start and advise our team to work on similar initiatives that improve the quality of life for our people. We see the UAE as the perfect example of what good leadership can bring to a country and want the same for ourselves. If we start new projects that benefit the people, the result will be satisfaction amongst the population.

Are you working on any new projects now?

Personally I am working on my PhD in philosophy, which I believe will help me in my future career. Professionally my aim is to introduce the best of Ukraine to the Middle East region and also to advise Ms. Yulia on potential areas of collaboration between UAE and Ukraine.

Tell us about your CSR activities in Ukraine?

In Ukraine our team is involved in educating children and supporting children with special needs. We focus on them and look for ways to improve their life. We have the best doctors as well in Ukraine for early intervention for infant heart problems and some great initiatives for children which would be good to highlight.

What made you became an advisor?

I believe that I can help change and improve people’s lifestyles and I find that Ms. Yulia is also geared towards the satisfaction and happiness of the people. I would be delighted if our people achieve the same level of happiness and satisfaction from the work Ms. Yulia and her team are striving towards in Ukraine.

How do you balance your personal and professional life?

I feel content at the moment as my husband is educated and supportive of what I do. He believes that I can help make changes to the society for the better.

What do you love about UAE that you would like to see in Ukraine?

I love that the UAE is safe and people are always happy. There is a culture of innovation here and although the society is progressing, there is still a deep respect for the local traditions and culture that the local people have. I also like the fact that despite becoming a modern society, the people here still respect their elders and are family oriented.
